Why floors matter
The official game description confirms that new floors expand the wood empire and unlock more space. It does not publish a floor count, but the Base Upgrades menu does publish a price.

In the Base Upgrades menu captured at 08:52 in Asia/Shanghai on September 4, the step from Floor 1 to Floor 2 was quoted at $2.5M. The same $2.5M price was re-read in a later capture from the same session, so it holds in the current build as well as in the 08:52 recheck after the 08:22 deployment.
The main interface in the earlier capture showed a base already built across three stacked floors with five worker slots. Three is therefore the highest count observed, not a confirmed cap.
- Compare $2.5M against the Forest Level step in the same menu before committing ($25K for the 2 to 3 lift, or $1M for the 3 to 4 lift once 2 to 3 is already owned).
